Our church - Fusion Bible! Where it all began. Layton and I had talked a few times over the summer, but then I went back to UCO to start my Senior year. I had not been home in over a month, and little did I know a certain someone was missing me and attending first service every week in hope to see and talk to me. It was on this specific Sunday that Layton asked me out on our first date. Layton and I's story really began long before we even knew each other when both our families moved to Durant, Oklahoma, establishing deep roots. After growing up in Durant, both attending Durant Schools, moving away to different colleges, Layton and I both ended up back HOME. We always knew of each other growing up, but never thought dating, engagement, or marriage would be our reality. Shoutout to the Terecia Webb for running into Layton at Firehouse Subs and suggesting for him to ask me out.

The first date! After Layton asked me out on that Sunday, I was so excited! However, I was very busy with sorority and school, so I told him that I would check my planner to see when I could come home next. Well.... 3 weeks later we had our first date. It was during this three weeks that neither of us knew if there was going to be an actual date because we had not heard from each other. The night before our said date, I checked back in for our date, and we made official plans. Layton picked me up and we went to Texas Roadhouse. A key detail I have yet to mention, is that I was still recovering from Bronchitis, but was not going to miss this date! After our dinner, we went and got Crumbl Cookies, and played shuffleboard.

Our first picture together! Thanks to my Aunt Katherine! I came home from UCO for fall break, and we attended the Durant HS Football Game. This night, I surprised Layton with homemade chocolate chip cookies!

This weekend would have been about Layton and I's 4th or 5th date. We went to Roma's and then to watch Carrie Underwood perform at Choctaw. This night we were asked if we were married. Not quite... but we were both hopeful.

Layton and I both LOVE family! They are such a big part of our lives! This was a special family dinner at 34 Chophouse. Very yummy!

A time to be grateful! Our first Thanksgiving together! Layton and I spent Thanksgiving with each other and both of our families.

Layton came up to visit me in Edmond right before finals. We went on a date to Olive Garden and then to watch a family friend in the HS State Championship. Sitting with our sweet friends - the McCoy's.

DISNEY! We went on a family trip to Disney right after I finished up finals. Our first day was very memorable as it poured rain!
